The function of parenting is not valued in today's culture. This function has been demonised. We've even gone as far as to teach kids through several well-known animated films that the mother's function is obsolete. Mother has been purposefully left out of these movies or is shown as a villain. You're nurturing? Are you in charge of another person's social, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being? So, my buddy, you are a mother. You are a mother even though no children have ever been born from your womb. Mother Teresa never had children of her own, but she spent more than 45 years taking care of the poor, destitute, and orphaned children in her care.

One of the biggest problems in today's world is being a mother. Numerous mothers, however, nevertheless excel at raising and nurturing their children daily. The life of Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, provides fascinating insights into a few of God's motherly graces. After struggling with infertility for years, she finally got pregnant and declared, "The Lord has done this for me." "He has shown me favour these days and removed my shame in the eyes of the people" (Luke 1:25). She viewed becoming a mother as a blessing and referred to it as God's favour. Scripture mentions four blessings of parenting when her son John was born.

Being a mother wears you out. And it might be annoying. And a lot of additional labour usually goes along with it. It can be simple to feel lost and frustrated in the early stages of life with a newborn due to things like dirty diapers, spit-up, and feelings in the middle of the night when you're so exhausted, you're not sure which end of the baby is the head. However, being a mother entails much more than just dealing with soiled nappies and sleep deprivation. One of God's greatest joys is motherhood, and one adores the name you've given your daughter that will serve as a constant reminder of this. [Jori] means a favour.

Being a Mother Is a Source of Joy

Moms willingly sacrifice sleep, job, vacation, and other things to raise a joyful infant. There is nothing like it when the lines turn pink. Because you will soon become a mother for the first time, hormones send your emotions on an emotional roller coaster and make your heart sing with happiness. First-time motherhood comes with a lot of responsibility. The unmistakable secret to parenting satisfaction is to enjoy and appreciate your child right now. Taking care of a new life is not simple. You will find a way to cherish every second of this voyage despite all of these annoying physical changes, delicate stressors, and unfortunate circumstances. The joy of becoming a mother for the first time is beyond words.

Being a Mother Is a Great Responsibility

Mothers are the epitome of unconditional love and selflessness. They have enormous obligations to their kids, and frequently they go above and beyond what is required of them. They take care of their children's physical and emotional needs while also feeding, cleaning, and cooking for them. They serve as their children's initial teachers and give them the fundamental words they need to express their wants. Even after the kids grow up and leave the house, they still have obligations. They help people get through personal problems. They provide their kids with the greatest care possible. God used this significant duty as one of many means to emphasise the enormous responsibility attached to acting in the role of a godly mother.

Being a Mother Is a Spiritual Effort

Selflessness and compassion are central to spiritual motherhood. For as long as it comprises nurturing and loving without regard to one's interests, it is not just for biological mothers. Limited to the tiniest details of life, we occasionally fail to recognise a mother's sacrifice, her perplexing yet clever techniques of parenting, and her perspective on the beauty in us that we are unable to comprehend. People who do not receive the caring, motherly love and direction they need are never seen by us, but mothers always do. After becoming a mother, a woman develops into a spiritual soul who solely takes this route rather than any other. She transforms into the spirit who leads us through life. Peace of mind is the only condition necessary for achieving spirituality, which is a personal journey ingrained in our daily lives. Being a mother enables one to see the light in the ordinary. When a mother faces her life head-on and commits to the responsibility that comes with the honour of achieving personal spiritual enlightenment, the unseen spiritual potential is reached. A mother, wherever possible, finds the sacred in the commonplace.

Being a Mother Is a Lifelong Journey

One of the most amazing aspects of our universe is embodied by pregnancy: a life developing inside another life, a being giving life to another life, a body suffering illness so that another life can develop, live, and thrive. Just before the birth of the new child, it signifies the beginning of a lifelong journey of love, devotion, and sacrifice, emphasising the natural cycle of life and existence. When a woman has children, her entire life changes, and she develops a completely new set of priorities. A woman's manner of thinking and life is radically altered by motherhood, in addition to how her body changes. The most precious portion of a mother's soul, to whom she devotes her entire life, feels complete, her baby. The overwhelming sensation that develops in her soul changes her life completely. In the first moment after the baby arrives, a mother gazes at her child and promises to be a good mother.

Being a mother requires a lot of sacrifices. As we take care of our tiny infant, making sure all of his or her needs are met and spending a significant amount of time, effort, and money to encourage our child to grow and become independent, it teaches us to give without expecting anything in return and to be selfless. All of this could be at the expense of our sleep, our physical and mental health, as well as our professional and personal aspirations. However, if you have children, God has blessed you with a great source of joy, accountability, spiritual development, and a lifelong journey as someone who mentors another person. We can all take some time to honour and appreciate the significant investment our mothers have made in our lives. Scripture calls us to honour our parents. We can thank our mother for her influence, live in a way that pleases the Lord and seek ways to likewise bless our mother through our words and actions.

“Motherhood is not easy, but it is a blessing.”
